68-year-old Sonia O’Connor recently won a medical malpractice case against two Philadelphia doctors who failed to identify the symptom that led to her complete lower-body paralysis. O’ Connor had been receiving treatment for severe back pain at a Philadelphia hospital, but the doctors serving her failed to recognize her worsening conditions and to have her evalutated by a neurologist. Her condition grew drastically more severe, and O’Connor is now wheelchair-bound without the use of her legs. Injury lawyer Neil Murray represented O’Connor in an 8-day-long trial, and was able to help her win $1.5 million in compensation for her serious injuries.
