Erin Andrews, a reporter for ESPN, is filing a suit against the man who secretly videotaped her through her hotel room peephole on two separate occassions. Michael Barrett called multiple hotels asking for Andrews’ booking information, and these hotels offered him not only confirmations that she was there, but Andrews’ room number and a room for Barrett directly beside hers. Barrett then posted the illegally-obtained videos of the reporter all across the internet, leading to her great “emotional distress.” At this time, Andrews is also suing the hotels that wrongfully gave out her information for their assistance in this criminal act.

People who have experienced traumatic brain injuries may be subject to severe physical, mental, or psychological aftereffects, and someone who has felt symptoms similar to those present in a brain injury should contact a health professional as soon as possible.
California Police Officer Convicted in “Accidental” Train Station Killing
A former California police officer, Johannes Mehserle, is being tried for fatally killing an unarmed civilian who was refusing arrest. 22-year-old Oscar Grant was killed from the shot to his back, but Mehserle claims that he had no intention of hurting the man and was trying to reach for a Taser instead of a gun. When the officer was charged with involuntary manslaughter instead of second-degree murder, riots broke out all over Oakland, and people currently await Mehserle’s next hearing on August 6th.
