Plymouth-Whitemarsh Student Killed in Hit and Run Accident

A high school student at Plymouth-Whitemarsh was recently killed in a tragic hit and run accident on the Germantown Pike in Montgomery County. Senior Denise Cotteta was struck by a vehicle whose driver did not stop until police located the car minutes later. This driver violated the law that requires all people involved in car accidents to wait at the scene of the accident, and he is now being held liable for Cotteta’s death.

Plaintiff Designations in Premises Liability Cases – Invitee, Licensee, and Trespasser

In cases related to premises liability, premises owners are often held responsible for injuries that happen on their own properties. There are certain legal steps a premises owner or operator must take in warning others of any dangers located on the property, whether the other person has been invited, has chosen to enter the premises (as with a public business), or is trespassing.
